Over in the North of the UK the War of the Roses event is coming up this weekend and all this week the guys at Sidewalk magazine have been putting up edits from past WOTR event. Check this clip from the 2007 event with DuFFS Heads Josh Parr and Carl “Potter” Wilson throwing it down!
Right, I'm getting a little sick of writing about Ben. It seems like every other day he’s winning this, skating that or getting photos in the other. Either we’re gonna start charging him for all the PR work we're doing for him or maybe we just rename the news section The Daily Raemers...
Check out this little montage from the Elwood Knockout Comp in Manchester, England. DuFFS Europe rider Josh Parr also makes an appearance but it was Ben who claimed the top spot and 200 crisp English pounds.
The latest issue of Sidewalk is out in the UK with DuFFS heads Ben Raemers, Rob Smith and TM Mark Munson all featuring in an article on what goes down indoors when the wet winter hits the UK for many a dark, cold month. You may recognise Munson from his past life as a member of the UK Chapter of the Chippendales or 'Persian Bear' in the European version of 'Gladiators'.
13 FEBRUARY 2009 it all ads up for ben raemers
Seriously, it took me ages to think of that headline. You'd have thought I might have done better but you certainly can't say the same about Ben. He's got the latest ad; a big ole front feebs on a big ole nasty British rail.
9 FEBRUARY 2009 THE FRIDGE
Ben Raemers and Rob Smith were ice cold killers at the impromptu and now infamous Ispo Fridge session. Get your eye balls on this...
Benny Boy pops up on the Sidewalk website with a little interview and true-to-life photograph. We checked, and it seems that his endless consumption of sugar based treats really has taken it's toll on his pearly whites, check out those gnashers!

Way to start the day:
Wake up at around 11:30-12-00, walk down stairs and make some toast with marmite, or frosted wheaties then think about what to do next.
Skatespot:
This one in my hometown of Walton. There was this set of 4 stairs where we always used to skate, it was the first set i ever kickflipped, it was always really windy or there would be really high waves crashing around. I always used to skate it with my friends and it was right near my flat.
Skatepark:
The one in the Cayman Islands. Going there was a truly remarkable experience, I had such a good time there, I'm also planning on moving there! It's total paradise - sea, sun, sand, skatepark, snorkles and starfishes! Go there if you can.

I love the Habitat video, 'Mosaic' - it's got good music and amazing skating.

Thing about living with Munson:
When we go skating I don't have to drive or pay for petrol, but he's never really around.
None skating pass-time:
Seeing friends, driving my car, swimmin' here and der, having fun times.

Chandos and Frank Stephens.
