We've been hooking up a couple of UK riders for a bit. I just suck at getting them on the site. Tom Blyth and Jack Marchant have been proudly repping us for a bit. For those of you that don't know, Tom has been destroying street spots all over the world for years. Jack (as witnessed in the pic above), can contort his body into and angle while flying through various skateparks. Look for more about them on the site soon.

those of you who follow happenings in the UK will know that the War of the roses comp has just gone down this past weekend. this annual comp is held over two days at the works park in leeds and ramp city in blackpool. footage from the first day is now up on the sidewalk website with footage from the second and almost certaainly very hung over second day dropping very soon. check out the edit below which features a brief appearance from our own UK head, Jess Young.

Alex and Jake are heading over to Australia with the Sunday Bikes crew. Apparently, Alex ran out of hot chicks here, so he has to look somewhere else. Look for those dudes to be doing some serious shredding!!
Me and KP are freezing our asses off in Minneapolis at the moment. We'll be hanging with the QBP crew at Frost Bike until Sunday.

Mr. LeVan has been in Australia for the past week. He's staying for another few weeks, so if you see a guy with bleached hair and crocodile like skin, buy him a drink for me!! For real though, Jimmy is doing a riding trip and shop tour to promote his new Metal distributor and his signature shoe, The Forge. He celebrated his birthday recently by going to an AC/DC show in Australia. No word on weather he was mistaken for Rod Stewart and asked up on stage for a special duet (kidding James). Jimmy is going to be sending frequent updates from the road, so keep your eyes peeled...

so, the bacon video has been premiering across this rock over the last few weeks and even little old blighty got in on the action with a DuFFS / bacon / lcb hook up last night in the ironic flock of seaguls haircut / charity shop chinos / deck shoe combo capital that is the east of lahndahn town. big shout to tom at bacon and lcb for hoking this up. as a treat here's a little clip of kevin doing what he does best which is generally ripping concrete a new asshole

Karl recently went on a trip with some of his Eastern Bikes mates. They went to Florida, hung out with pro wrestler cardboard cut-outs, fake alligators, and Chad Degroot (so there was probably a weird sex party somewhere in there.) You can read a re-cap of the trip right HERE.

Anyhow, Kevin has been in Spain, for like that past 6 months it seems, helping the FLY crew move in to a new apartment. It's alright, he'll be freezing with me in Minneapolis next week!!!

yet more news from spain and another contest win for dani! this kid really is on the up and it wont be long before he becomes a household name across europe and not just in his native spain.
The Plaza del Dos de Mayo in Madrid was the location for a contest which attracted hundred of skaters from across the country. organised by The local shop “Old School” this was an event that by all accounts will live long in the memory and for dani in particular after walking away with yet another first place in the under 16's category.
special mention must also go to one of our flow riders, julian pena, who placed third in the over 16 category and also won the thrasher spcial prize for a beast of a three flip down the stairs. great work guys and remember, you saw them here first!

09 FEBRUARY 2010 DOCTOWN DEMO...
our very own torero Dani León will be doing a bunch of demos around spain in the coming weeks. the Doctown Tour 2010 is kicking off in a couple weeks with the first Demo in Veléz- Málaga, at the Avenida Rey Juan Carlos I. Edificio Mercovélez s/n de Vélez-Málaga on 27th February 11:00h. With a host of top homegrown spanish talent including young dani and a bunch of other top euro bods this is sure to be a sweet demo. if you happen to live in one of those damn freezing cold european countires then this could be the perfect escape for some sun, sangria and skating...! if you happen to live in malaga then there really is no excuse...

massive congratulations to our very own mtb legend sam pilgrim who took the top honours at the recent Leogang white style comp in austria. by all accounts the course was insane and oh yeah, did we mention it's made entirely from snow? not that this seemed to effect the riders as some massive tricks went down but as they say, there can only be one winner and this year it was sam who walked away with a cool 1800 euros. boom! to check out the course and the final runs, check the video below or click on the link to check out a full write up at dirt.
