So, last, but certainly not least in the "team on team", is my dude. Mr James LeVan. I've known Jimmy as long as I remember(which is probably longer than Jimmy can remember). When I started to do this feature on the site, I planned on posting his opinions on the guys last. Coincidently, I received them last!!
Karl recently went on a Shadow Conspiracy trip to Philadelphia. There's a really good, exclusive edit of it on The Come Up. You can also view a special "Karl slide show" on the Shadow Conspiracy site. In other Karl news, he's off to France with the Eastern crew. Look for some photos and stories when he gets back.
30 october 2009 another magallan photo, another story...
This photo, and the story that goes along with it, can be seen over on the ESPN site. Nice one Alex and Andrew... You can also see more of Andrew White's work, on his site.
news has reached us that the legendary designer, skater and all round eccentirc, Sinisa egelja has passed away in australia. sinisa was one of god's own, a super unique talent with a generous heart and a particularly tweaked outlook on skating, shoes and life in general. he was the main man behind the emergence of airwalk in the 1980's as the most progressive footwear brand of the time and maybe of all time. his designs were and have continued to be inspirational to designers the world over; often imitaed but never bettered, he had a truely special talent. After a spell as airwalk team manager, sin became part of the DuFFS family as lead designer and his influence is still very much part of our ethos to this day. our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time. rip sin.

14 october 2009 THE LIFE AND TIMES OF MR JAMES ATKIN...
When going through my DuFFS email, deleting the ones about how to make my boner better, I got a sweet email from James Atkin. James has been hopping between the Utah and Vegas area lately, filming the pilot for a show. He said it involves both skate and BMX, so I can't wait to hear more.

7 october 2009 MULVILLE IN THE UK...
A few weeks ago, Mark, took a trip over to the UK with Deluxe. While there, he rode the hell out of everything the UK had to offer, ate some weird food, and hit on the queen. Mark is back in the US shredding in Pittsburgh right now. I should have posted this sooner, but it got lost in all the melee of Fall shoes showing up, and Interbike. We have it back together now! Look for a web vid from Mark in the very near future, but for now, there's a pretty cool vid on the opening page of the Deluxe Site.

5 october 2009 alex magallan pics...
Riding photos of Alex make everyone's day better. Trail photos especially. Here's one more example that Alex kills everything on and off his bike. In his words "those hips are life changing". I'm not sure if he's talking about those trails or some chick he knows. Funny enough, I say the same thing about my wife! Coming soon, Mark Mulville's recap of his trip to the UK. Good stuff.
5 october 2009 DEATH OF FUN...?
The trailer for the new Eastern Bikes video, Death of Fun, is out now. It features our own Karl Poynter, and Adam Banton. This vid is going to be really good.
so, mr brian osborne just got back from interbike and by all accounts it lived up to the hype. i say all accounts, i actually mean by brian's account which you can read below anyway - i just wrote this intro so it look's like i actually do something. over to brian:
“Oh dear god! I don't even know where to begin. Interbike 09' was absolutely crazy. The trade show went really, really good for us. Everyone from other industry people, to other people's pros(look out), to shop owners, were really feeling the Spring 2010 line that we were showing. The entire DuFFS BMX Team was on hand to mingle with the crowd, hang around the booth, and make sure that the Vegas nightlife never got boring. The team also spread some education during the show. Kevin Porter held daily coffee seminars, Alex Magallan taught a class on how to pick up chicks, Mark Mulville taught a class on how to chase chicks, Karl Poynter taught a class on how to be super nice to everyone you come in contact with(even if they suck), Adam Banton was being tall, and Mr LeVan showed us how to make a rock-star entrance when there's only 2 hours remaining in the entire trade show, and I hung around the booth texting quotes from Eastbound and Down with Kyle Carlson. Best show on TV!”
